Fare Evasion Prosecution Dropped and Defence Costs Awarded

Our client client was recently charged with fare evasion after failing to touch in at a broken Oyster card reader. They worked in education and required enhanced criminal records checks. Following our advice representations were made to the train company, and evidence and documents produced, which resulted in the prosecution being dropped and the client successfully being awarded a defence costs order from the Magistrates’ Court.
